My passion is Acting.
I first discovered my passion for acting when I was five years old. The first time I actually performed on a stage in front of people was in middle school. Me and my fellow peers in Drama Club created a comical skit and performed it at our school rally. I remember that moment being filled with fear and anxiety up until I actually walked out on stage. When I heard the cheers of the crowd, the nervousness faded away and I immediately knew I had a passion for being in the spotlight.
I believe attending US Performing Arts : Acting for the Camera at Stanford University will help me explore my passion because of one of the many things that they promise to offer: making dreams reality. I've always dreamt of becoming an actress and I think this program will help me get deeper intuited with that dream.
"Participating in the US Performing Arts: Acting for the Camera would help Maryann hone her acting and production skills as well as further her passion of becoming an actress. She wants to become well rounded and knowledgeable about all aspects of her craft, which is why Maryann is enrolled in the Creative and Performing Arts Academy at her school. The opportunity to learn from a prestigious director and veteran actor is very special to Maryann. She looks forward to any opportunity to learn from professionals in her field of interest and is eager to apply what she learns. With proper coaching Maryann has the potential to become a confident and collaborative leader in the acting world. I believe she will add value to this program as well as benefit greatly from participating."
I had so much fun! I met a lot of great people and learned so much about myself as an actor, and as a person in general. I'm very grateful to everyone who donated. If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't have been able to seize this wonderful opportunity. Words can not express how thankful I am (:
