My passion is Computer Science and Programming.
I discovered this passion during the summer of 2012 due to a summer camp located at the NYU campus. During the summer camp, we learned how to create and program a robot that moves around with a remote. Throughout the summer we were learning about how we could make NYC better as a whole. By the end of the summer we created a town where we placed schools, parks, hospitals, police stations etc.out of Legos. Everyone had a say in where the buildings went, everyone had a building to create and place throughout the canvas. At the end of the summer we were able to invite our parents to witness what we were doing throughout the summer.
Attending iD Tech Camps would help me explore my passion because I would be able to expand my knowledge on computer science. I would be able to learn on a college level for the first time and feel like a college student. Attending iD Tech Camps will also help to expand my mind about the college that I would like to attend along with what I would most likely major in based on the school that I decide to attend. Overall, attending this camp will help me to feel like I belong on a college campus and most likely expand my interest in Computer Science and Programming.
As for why Jade is a good candidate, I'd simply refer any admissions personnel to her stellar academic record as well as her proven ability to succeed in difficult programs. From her exceptional success taking Algebra in 8th grade to her continued success in her courses in high school, Jade proves again and again that she has the drive that it takes to succeed. That drive cannot be taught but it can be fed and I think that's what this program will do for her.
I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend a summer program called iD Tech Camps - New York! I really appreciate your generosity and support. My dream is to work at a company similar to Apple and pursue my Computer Programming dream once I graduate college with my Masters Degree. This program gave me a head start in reaching this goal. Thanks so much and know that your donations went to great use!! I hope you can support others like me during the Summer of 2017 to also reach their dreams!
