My passion is medicine.
I discovered my passion for medicine when I was in the 6th grade. I've always been interested in learning new things and I often watch videos and read books about people who have became doctors and surgeons ( my dream is to be a surgeon ). I've found out through these books and videos that learning about medicine and becoming a doctor is a lot of work and takes a person who is capable of working through difficult situations, and I am one of those people. I've also learned that you have to be a "people person" and I've been told by many friends and family members that I am indeed a people person. I get along with most and I thrive to help others.
Analysa needs a challenge in science. She is gifted when it comes to biology, and her classroom experience are not enough. We do not offer classes at the school to introduce Analysa to the medical field, and UConn's Pre-College Summer Program would help her flourish. The program will benefit from seeing this hard working girl be exposed to experiences she cannot have otherwise. She will represent the program in the best way. Analysa is the perfect candidate for this program, bright, passionate about medicine and helping others, and hard working.
Being able to participate in the Uconn Pre-Summer College was such an amazing expierience. I really got to have a better understanding of what life on campus is. I also learned a lot more about the medical field and the many different career options I could take. Attending the program also gave me the ability to create many great friends. Thank you so much for allowing me to enjoy this great expiernce.
