Mamadou's Story

My passion is pre-college. I first got a glimpse of college life when I visited Yale University. I got a tour of the campus and was able to talk to students that went to Yale. They told me about their college experience and how college has changed them. I thought how college can give me an opportunity in life and give me a chance to have a finer life. I started to change my path so I can get into college. I transferred to a college prep school and joined college programs like NYU World Changers so I could have a taste of the college experience.

Attending Syracuse Summer College Criminal & Corporate Law will give me a chance to get a glimpse of academic and residential life at college. It will help me improve my character as a person and help me succeed in my academic pursuit. I will sign up for classes that match my interest. It would allow me to explore the different types of majors that are given in college. I will have the opportunity to live on a college campus exploring new grounds with students from all over the world. I will live as a better person and have knowledge of how college will be.

Mamadou embodies perseverance. Most of our conversations are based on how he plans to overcome challenges and provide hope to people in similar situations. Mamadou is interested in improving his lived experience, but only for the purpose of doing the same for others. He is undeniably an academic and attending Syracuse Summer College Criminal & Corporate Law will allow him to further develop this side of him. Mamadou subtly improves each space he enters while simultaneously improving himself. I know he will do the same at the summer program.

I am so excited to go to Syracuse this summer. I already booked my flight and almost packed my bag by accident. I have a list of things I want to do when I get there. I want you to wish me luck and I will keep you in touch. Thank you and have a nice summer.
