Phillip's Story

My passion is Bioengineering.

I discovered my passion for Bioengineering when I decided that I enjoyed both the medical field and the engineering field. I decided to combine these interests and found the field of study known as Bioengineering. In high school, I enjoyed both Mathematics and Science, and Bioengineering is a field that combines both of these subjects. Bioengineering is a field that incorporates many different fields of science. I enjoyed the subject of biology due to all the intricate structures found in the human body. Personally, I think that applying the techniques used in engineering to help improve mankind is rewarding in many ways. The goal of Bioengineering is improve the quality of the life of humans. The field of Bioengineering has the potential to directly affect the well being of humans. I want to have a direct impact on the medical field while still pursuing my dream of becoming an engineer.

Attending NSLC Biotechnology will help me pursue my passion for Bioengineering in many ways. When I attend this program, I will meet other people who have similar interests as me. We can converse and share our knowledge in the fields of medicine and engineering. I will learn what being a Bioengineer will entail. I will figure out the next step in becoming a Bioengineer. I will be able to determine whether or not Bioengineering is a good fit for me. If I decide that Bioengineering is not a good fit for me, I will be able to pursue other careers that involve the medical field or the engineering field. I will use the material that I learned in the program and apply that to other careers. I will be able to pursue a career that I will enjoy doing for the rest of my life.
