My passion is animation.
I discovered my passion for coding when I stumbled upon the game called Minecraft. When I played the game for the first time I had fun building large structures and other things. What I liked the most was the fact that the game was very interactive, especially when I played with my two nephews. I will always regret letting them in my house since they blew it up. I realized how cool it was to be coding, and I wanted to one day make a game like Minecraft.
Attending Syracuse: Animation & Game Design will help me explore my passion through the different activities it has to offer, like learning how to code and listening to what guest speakers at the program have to say. I will set goals that will help me pursue my passion because I hope that animation will become my future career.
Despite limited resources, Isaias has tried to get his feet wet with animation. Last year, he tried joining the animation and movie club at UCHS. In middle school as well, he used to do claymation as a way of pursuing animation. Since then, he hasn't had as many opportunities within school to explore this passion, but he still finds it as a point of interest that he wants to pursue, he just isn't sure how.
Isaias would be a good candidate for the Syracuse: Animation and Game Design program because of his drive to pursue what he wants. He is willing to ask questions when confused, and always responds well to feedback.
Additionally, considering his inability to explore this passion on his own, this will be an amazing opportunity. He knows that this is a once in a lifetime experience, and would greatly benefit from having this experience before moving on to college.
To everyone who has donated for me to attend my program, thank you so much for your gifts! I really appreciate it and I hope to continue preparing for my summer experience. We're so close but yet so far away.
