My passion is helping others.
I love helping others, it makes me feel good about myself and what I am doing. I want to save lives or help others in any possible shape or form, whether it’s investigating, giving others advice and listening to their problems, social work or nursing. I want to do it. My passion for helping people started in 8th grade with relationships with my friends, and it has soon grown. In high school I became their own personal go-to guy when it came to relationships, or they needed to talk to someone like me. I was told I give good advice and should make a career out of it, like becoming a psychologist. I started to think about more and more ways I could help, and would actually daydream about working in a hospital and actually saving someone life, and it only increased my passion more.
Attending the Centenary Summer Scholars program will help me explore my passion of helping people. This program will help me to see if I would want to be a nurse in the future. Also, I would be able to explore the medical field and learn things from real doctors. Any career that can help me help other people and makes me happy is what I’m after. I want to actually help people not just sit around and I believe that this program would help me in more ways than one.
Natalia is one of the most hardworking students that I know. Whenever she sets a goal for herself, she always makes sure that every action is working toward that goal. I think that this drive and persistence coupled with Natalia's compassion and desire to help others make her an excellent candidate for the Centenary Summer Scholars program. Natalia will benefit from participating because it will bring her one step closer to her dream. She has not yet had the opportunity to see what it is like to be a medical professional up close and this program will give her the opportunity to do so.
