My passion is medicine.
My sister was born a preemie, which really contributed towards my passion because I was very observant of the tests and monitors that were used. After she and my mom were released I was my mom's little "nurse." I made sure she had all the medicine she needed as well as monitored her IV. This entire process helped me gain a perspective of being a doctor.
Attending Summer@Brown will allow me to gain a first impression of how life would be like at Brown University because it is my first choice college. Allowing myself to be apart of this experience will open up new possibilities in my future.
"Ruthie has always demonstrated academic excellence. She has her sights set on attending one of the top colleges in the nation. She has visited Brown University on several occasions, and loves their open curriculum as well as the welcoming and encouraging students she was able to interact with while visiting. Ruthie would like to challenge herself by taking a rigorous college-level class this summer as she prepares to enter her final year of high school."
Thank you so much for all of your generous donations. It is because of you all that I am going to be able to take a medical course allowing me to find more interests in my future career. While at Brown University, I will feel what it is like to live away from home and on the campus I wish to get accepted to when applying in the fall.
