My passion is baseball.
I first learned how to play baseball from my dad. He taught me about the basics of the game of baseball, like catching a ball, hitting a ball, etc. After that, when I was around five, I joined a baseball league, which taught me some more complex stuff and I just went on from there. After my last season in the league, I am waiting for another shot at being able to play the game I love.
Attending US Sports Nike Baseball Camp will help me pursue my passion for baseball because I will be able to use my summer productively. This is an amazing opportunity to be able to get back into playing baseball.
Jake is bright, energetic, and eager for new experiences. He is a very active young man that I've had the pleasure of coaching. He showed an incredible amount of grit, tenacity, drive, and spirit not just during competitions, but during daily practices. Jake is incredibly disciplined when it comes to sports and school. Participating in the US Sports Nike Baseball Camp would be a fantastic way for Jake to improve his skills in his baseball game, as well as his socio-emotional skills. He is an excellent teammate, and through participation in a camp outside of his local context, he could vastly improve his tactical and leadership skills as well.
It felt really cool to not only be able to get to play a lot of baseball, but also to have a lot of independence in myself. I haven't been able to do something like this before, but it was an incredibly cool experience and something that I most likely will never forget.
