I discovered my passion for Medicine when I was 10 years old. I would go to the doctor and I would be so fascinated with everything I would see and also I love to help people when they're going through difficult times. I think Medicine would be a great career for me because we need more physicians in the world. People in this career are lifelong learners, they have outstanding leadership skills and they are always open to learning new things and skills and this describes me 100%. I love learning new things everyday especially if it's going to benefit me and my family.
Attending NSLC is such an amazing opportunity to explore and experience what a real life doctor or nurse go through everyday with delivering babies or taking care of a sick . Also, it would be great to experience the hands on challenges that nurses face daily. Additionally, getting a chance to go to Yale University would let me get the feel of if that's a school I would like to study nursing at.
Lisa is a very dedicated, loving, and compassionate young woman that I have seen pursue her passions by asking a lot of questions, seeking out information (via literature or the internet), and giving 100% of herself to her work. She is extremely intelligent and driven to succeed despite limited financial resources. She uses her time wisely in order to complete her work and she keeps her eyes on the prize.
Lisa is a great candidate for NSLC Nursing because of her passion for medicine and her dedication to succeed in this field. She is such a caring and wonderful human being that people will benefit from her presence and her desire to help others. Lisa will benefit from participating with NSLC Nursing through gaining valuable experience in the field she loves and tending to others or assisting those who provide direct services to others.
I’m so grateful that I gained this opportunity to attend a Nursing Program at Yale University. I am so excited and cannot wait until it’s time to leave for my summer at Yale! I am most thrilled about meeting new people and all the new experiences. Thank you so much for making this possible!
