My passion is dance.
I discovered my passion for dance when I was twelve years old and a show called Dance Moms premiered on television. The way the girls on the show moved caught my attention and made me interested in the art of dance. Dance has the power to transport what I'm feeling out of me without even speaking. Performing also gives me a rush with all the makeup, costumes, and last minute rehearsals.
For two years, I trained myself from TV shows and YouTube videos and taught myself myself about ballet, contemporary, and acrobatics. Attending Peridance Summer Intensive will help me perfect my technique and presence on the stage. This will open doors for me because I never know who I might meet. I will finally have a chance to work with the best of the best.

I am going to be participating in the Peridance Summer Intensive Program this summer. I am really excited to be joining this program because it will better my technique in dance and improve my skills to prepare me for my future in dance. I feel that in school, there is not a rigorous enough dance program to prepare me for a future career in dance. I think that this program will help me develop my discipline in dance and increase my passion for this amazing art form.
I am looking forward to working with famous choreographers because it will inspire me to push myself even harder in order to be a part of the professional community. I chose this program because I have loved dance since I was young. I use to dance in the door knob reflection all the time. I believe that participating in this program will help me move forward with my dance career and by college dance major.
