My passion is volleyball.
I decided to attend volleyball conditioning to get a little experience with the sport before I tried out. I really enjoyed the fact you get to meet new people and make new friends; you can learn new things and grow from those you meet, including your coach. I am thankful to have built up the courage to check this sport out and play to learn new things.
Attending this volleyball camp will help me explore my passion in many ways. I only played volleyball for a semester in physical eduction, until a few years later when I tried out for a freshmen volleyball team. Being on the team allowed me to meet new people and apply team work on and off the court. I believe that playing with and meeting people will give me the benefit of learning how to cooperate with others who I do not know yet.
As Amina's freshman volleyball coach, my job is to teach the basics as well as gear up athletes for the next level of volleyball. Every athlete shines in their own way. Amina has the drive in volleyball that every coach would want, she learns from her errors/mistakes and improves. She takes pride in everything she does and helps those in any way she can.
At camp, Amina will gather and learn more from watching and playing, as well as experiencing what the love of volleyball is all about from an organization that can give her all the tools. Her passion to take this sport to another level is who Amina is. She will succeed in everything she does!
The first time I played with a team was amazing! I learned many new things about the art of volleyball, as well as how to work and communicate with a team. Hopefully I will be blessed to be apart of another team in the Nike Volleyball Camp experience.
I would like to thank everyone who has helped me through fundraising, especially my coach, Mrs. Vega. I would also like to thank the members of the Wishbone community for accepting me into this program. I cannot wait to attend this program because I know I'll definately learn and grow from it. I'm thankful to have such helpful people in my life; where I'm at today is because of those who encouraged me to pursue my dreams. Thank you all, once again.
