My passion is community service.
I am extremely passionate about Interact, a community service organization, because Interact included all the aspects I care about: serving my community and have an impact internationally. Interact not only gave me the opportunity to grow as a leader but as well as a person, creating a positive and better version of myself! Last year our International project was "Home Sweet Home". Our message for this international project adopted villages in Kenya to help raise money and empower change with skill training, education, care packages, medicine, and clinics, so they can live a sustainable life at home. By building care packages we've included the 5 pillars: Health, Education, Safety, Literacy, and Water. After we sent it to the villages in Kenya. Every time I see all the changes I have contributed to, it makes me feel proud.
By attending this National Teen Leadership Program I will have the opportunity to go out and meet new people and establish relationships with people who share the same passion as I do. National Teen Leadership Program will expose me to teens out there who have a dream, a passion, and most importantly a goal that we want to fight and achieve.
"Jeanne is someone who becomes inspired easily, and, as such, inspirational speakers often trigger in her a desire to do even more for her community. Jeanne knows that service work is important, but she also knows that it does not get done unless there are leaders strategizing before a particular event and galvanizing volunteers to sign up and participate to their fullest. The National Teen Leadership Program promises to address areas of growth for Jeanne as well as allowing her to bring her warmth and generous spirit to a group of like-minded and good-hearted young people."
My NTLP experience was quite different then what I expected. On the first day, I got a chance to meet many different aspiring leaders who shared the same excitement as me. I not only loved being able to meet people that shared the same passion but also I loved how it felt being at the college. In a way it feels like I got to experience Sacramento State life and since I am an senior now it definitely added more options for me to choose where to go so I am very grateful for that. Thank you wishbone and my donors for giving me this opportunity.

I am ecstatic to announce that I am fully funded as of May 6th :)
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for continually supporting me and allowing me to learn and grow as a person. I cannot wait for the amazing experience this program will provide me with.
Without your support I would not be able to do what I am doing so once again thank you, and I will try to post more regular updates to allow you guys to have an insight on what I am doing before and during my trip.
