My passion is government and public policy.
I believe that the Junior Statesmen Summer Institutes program will help me pursue my passion for Government and Public Policy because to be President of the United States which is my goal you have to be a great leader and have immense knowledge of the law and public policy. I believe that this program will help me become better at leadership skills and obtaining more knowledge about government. To show that I have a true passion for government I'm working on a 50 to 75 page book about how to reform the United States. It will take a lot of work and commitment to reach my goal of President but, hard work pays off!
Amado is an excellent candidate for Junior Statesmen Summer Institutes because he is a self motivated leader that knows how to guide and motivate others. He takes initiative to be the best he can be academically and his personal life. I have only known Amado a short while and would whole heartedly advocate for him, I have seen academic growth (since he strives for A's and B's) and feeds his passion around law and government by reading books in his spare time on Communism and Democracy so he could be well versed on different leadership styles. He is a student that is a self-starter, self-motivated, punctual, and driven on this subject matter. I encourage him daily to keep going because I know with his dedication he will definitely reach his goal one day.
In preparation for my experience at Princeton University I am doing the following, studying national politics and the mess that is the U.S government. Also I have been studying Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bill De Blasio advancements of the city of New York city and the state itself. These are just some things I am doing to prepare myself for a wonder experience.
