My passion is leadership. I discovered my passion this year in my leadership class while helping to plan my high school's Homecoming dance. I enjoyed working with new people and finding out how similar some people are. We may have struggled in the process while choosing a theme for the dance, looking for decorations, and making posters, but our teacher guided us with brainstorming ideas. Not only did this experience help me meet new people and get to know them, but I was also able to grow my confidence in myself and my decisions. I hope to continue to learn more about myself and others while attending the National Leadership Program this summer.
Gerardo is a great candidate because he has a strong passion for leadership and his positive attitude is infectious. The skills he will learn from the National Leadership Program will propel him to great success on the college level. He can learn a lot from this program.
