Angelina's Story

My passion is social sciences.
I developed a passion for the Social Sciences when I discovered my interest in the human mind. I find myself becoming more interested in getting a deeper understanding of relationships, personal lives, and mental illnesses. I feel that if you understand the connection between the mind and body, it is a powerful thing. When discovering the relationship between the two, one can be more aware and intelligent in various situations. This is where I aspire to be in the world, ahead and understanding. Deepening my understandings of the Social Sciences will help me better myself and society, there is nothing more rewarding than that.

Boston University has a great reputation and offers many learning opportunities and experiences. I feel as if it would fit me the best due to its high expectations and its reputation. This Summer Challenge will help me develop a better understanding of the Social Sciences and allow me to deepen my understanding of topics that I am passionate about and want to continue learning about.

I feel Angelina is the ideal candidate for Boston University Summer Challenge. She has a passion for the social sciences and truly wants to better herself and others through this experience. I believe this experience has the opportunity to increase her knowledge and motivation to succeed in the areas of social sciences. She has been looking at career options and colleges offering degrees in her area of interest and I know that a program like this will do nothing but give her a leg up when entering college after being fortunate enough to participate in such a great experience.
