My passion for coding started when I first moved to the U.S from Haiti. I was wowed by all the technology that I was surrounded by. Everywhere I turned, there was always a computer, and I was curious about how they worked. I started learning how to use a computer because I didn't even know how to open one. Little by little, I found out that the thing behind all of it was the language. I realized all the flashes and colors were programmed by someone. Learning about coding just keeps getting more and more interesting to me because of the fact that there are so many languages to learn.
Attending iD Tech Camp will help me by giving me an idea of how it will be learning about coding in college. It will also give me real experiences with people with a similar mindset as me. Not only that, but it will also provide me with a chance to further my education about computer programming. I also believe this would be an amazing chance to get out of my comfort zone and try something new surrounded by people with similar mindsets.
I have coached Willsmaith for two years now and he is a very hard worker. He can take directions well and applies himself to the task. He is eager to educate himself and move to bigger and better things for him and his family.
He has great potential to become whatever he would like to. His passion to learn and understand coding is something that is typical of his character. He works very hard day in and day out with wrestling as he does with academics. He is motivated to learn and prove he can attain anything. He will greatly benefit from iD Tech Camp.
I would like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported my campaign and helped me reach my goal. As Helen Keller once said, "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much." Being a part of Wishbone has proven that to me because there is no way I would have accomplished this without all your help. I am thrilled to be attending iD Tech Camps at Trinity College. This opportunity will give me a chance to spend time outside of my comfort zone to learn and gain new skills. Once again, thank you so much to everyone who has helped me.
