My passion is graphic design.
Drawing was my passion ever since I was a little girl. During elementary school, I spent a lot of time drawing on scrap paper or anything that I could get a hold of. I thought that it was a way to create a new reality that I could escape to. When I heard of graphic design, I decided to push myself to the next level and continue to expand on my interest.
If I am given the opportunity to study graphic design at Digital Media Academy, I know it will improve my artistic style and push me towards a higher level of creativity. People usually become better at their craft by working with other like-minded people who share a similar passion. By connecting and learning from college professors and peers who are knowledgeable about graphic design, I will have the chance to develop my passion.

Attending Syracuse during the summer will give Karla the opportunity to meet with other like-minded students and explore her future endeavors."
My time at Digital Media Academy was a great experience! I made new friends from different parts of the U.S as well as others from other countries that came to enjoy the time in each different class. Learning how to use Photoshop and other programs was very interesting and fun, and everyone interacted to give each other new inspiration and ideas on artwork. During the breaks, everyone would talk to each other to get know a person better. I had lots of fun with my new friends and teachers who helped me very much and helped us around the building at NYU. Thank you for the experience!!
With this experience at Digital Media Academy, I will be closer to achieving my dream in the future. I will also be able to get in the learning I need in order to improve my drawing and use new talents on the computer. This will also help to plan my small business in school for my entrepreneurship class. Thank you so much!
