My passion is volleyball.
My love for volleyball started first as a hobby. It was a good way for me to release stress and spend time with my friends. When I got to high school, I realized that I wanted to make volleyball a part of my daily life. As a member of my high school team, volleyball has helped me learn to be a strong team player, competitor, and strive to be my best everyday. I am able to use these tools in class and with my family. Volleyball has taught me to be the very best version of myself.
This year, I was one of the 18 girls out of 40 selected for the JV volleyball team. I am very proud of myself, as up until then I had never played on an official team. My goal is to make Varsity next year and I am hopeful that attending the US Sports Nike Volleyball Camp will secure my spot. As I grow as a player, I realize that with practice I might be good enough to pursue volleyball in college. Spending the summer at US Sports Nike Volleyball Camps would get me one step closer to my goals.
Angely is a smart and confident young girl, but has had limited exposure to much outside her everyday life. She has never been away from home. US Sports Nike Volleyball Camp would afford her the opportunity to mature and learn self-advocacy skills. It would give her the chance to see life outside New York City.
