My passion is engineering. Ever since I was young I've always wanted to build and invent. I remember carrying a notebook and drawing new ideas for a product that I wanted to see come to life. Also, I remember always being curious about how things work and how do make things work. I was always the kid who asked the teacher why? In fifth grade, was when I knew I wanted to be an engineer when I got older. I started getting involved in programs in my school such as woodworking, a Science Innovation and Design program, and my high school's robotics club. I have a passion for engineering and hope that I can change the world one day with the passion I have.
Attending iD Tech Camp will be an amazing opportunity for me to pursue my passion for engineering. Attending iD Tech will allow me to be surrounded by people who share the same passion as me and who want to watch me grow and excel as an engineer. Also, it will allow me to be able to get a sense of the Wesleyan environment which benefits me seeing that it is one of the colleges I will like to attend. At this program I will learn many new aspects of engineering that I wouldn't be able to learn anywhere else. Attending iD Tech will allow me to get a jump start in the engineering field while I am still in high school, so I can be prepared for college and beyond.
Jasmine who is innovative, hard-working, determined, and an exceptional student with a passion to pursue a career in Aerospace Engineering. Her personality and ability to obtain knowledge brings her to the top of her class. She is highly intelligent and confidence in all aspects of learning making her an excellent candidate for iD Tech Camps Connecticut. Jasmine will be a benefit to the program if given and opportunity to gain this knowledge of an engineer. In a group of her peers Jasmine will be in an environment that will share the same passion and aspirations that will give her the ability to succeed as an engineer.
I had so much fun at camp! I learned many new things about coding that I would have never learned if I had not attended this program. I was able to use the new skills I learned to make cool projects. The project I had the most fun coding was my very own black jack game that even incorporated buttons. I also made new friendships that will last a very long time. I want to thank all my donors for enabling me to attended this camp. Without you I would have been able have this amazing experience, so thank you very much.
I can't wait to attend iD Tech Camp at Wesleyan University this summer! I couldn't have done it without your generous donations, so I want to say thank you so much. I would also like to give a special thanks to my mentor, Mrs. Gambrell, who put in a lot of hard work to spread the word of my campaign. I'm excited to create and program my own laptop while at camp, and also learn new skills. I have started shopping for supplies and am excited for the process ahead. Once again, I would like to say thank you because without you, this would have never been possible.
