My passion is softball.
I discovered my passion for softball through my family. My cousins, my uncles, and my dad always used to play, and I used to sit and watch and be completely mesmerized by the sport. Soon enough, they began to teach me the fundamentals, such as throwing a ball at the age of 8 years old. As I got older, I began to become more serious about the sport. It was a way for me to relax and to learn more about myself through my strengths and weaknesses in a team community. I knew I wanted to play softball when I went to high school and began to play in outside leagues beginning in 6th grade. I was trained by coaches and worked with girls I never met and went on to win 2 championships, as well as make the school varsity softball team.
Attending the Nike Softball Camp will help me advance my skills in softball. Practice makes perfect, and although I may know the fundamentals to the game, it is crucial to become better and keep practicing. I want to become a better player at the sport I love, and going to this camp will not only help my skills, but give me a whole new experience. I've never been away to a softball camp, but I think going to the Nike Softball Camp will generally help me when softball season comes around, and maybe teach me new workouts, and new ways to the sport itself.
Chasity is dedicated. Chasity has been able to maintain an impressive GPA as a student athlete. Her practicing schedule is very demanding yet she is able to maintain excellence. Her word means somethings whether it's completing an assignment or keeping an appointment. The US Sports Nike Softball Camp will enable Chasity to hone her softball skills. It will also be another opportunity for Chasity to interact and play with other students who are just as dedicated.

I would like to thank you once again for making my summer beyond special! Going to the Nike Softball Camp was life changing for me. Through camp, I was able to pick up on some new skills and techniques that I wasn’t taught, and was able to better the fundamentals I already knew. I’m extremely grateful to take these new found skills with me into my last softball season on my schools varsity team!
I felt that I was very successful coming out of camp. I was graded on each and every different fundamental to the game, such as - baserunning, throwing, fielding and so on. At the end of the week, we , the campers, reviewed score sheets to let us know how we did, and what to focus on. It was definitely an experience that required a lot of hard work and training that I am not exactly used to, but through it all I met some pretty awesome friends, worked on myself as a team player, and even received some cool prizes after being named “Camper With The Most Spirit”.
Going away to a softball camp was something that I’ve been meaning to do for a while, and something that gave more meaning to the sport. But again, I would have not been able to achieve the goal and dream of mine if it wasn’t for you help!

I’m beyond excited to be attending the Nike Softball Camp this summer!
Softball is definetely one of my passions and is really important to me. Going away to this program is a huge step forward for me. It’s a step closer to reaching my dream of playing college level softball, and it’s also a step to help better my skills in the sport I love to play.
I can’t stop talking about this opportunity I have and I’m beyond grateful to have a chance to spend a week out in Lawrenceville, to meet new people and learn new things. This is a life changing experience, and is very meaningful to me and my family, who supports my athletic ambitions.
This is definetely something I wouldn’t have been able to achieve on my own! To everyone who helped out and donated and helped spread the word about my campaign, I’m extremely thankful, and one last thank you for helping me get one step closer to my dreams!
