My passion is basketball.
As a young child, my family members watched basketball a lot and I grew up with a cousin who is passionate about basketball too. My cousin was better than me, but he began to teach me how to play and I got better. I have been playing basketball for about 2 years and I strive to get better because I know I have plenty of room for growth.
Tahir is an exceptional candidate for the Chelsea Piers Basketball Camp due to his sheer will and discipline to constantly improve. He is a respectful student and works to better himself and others. At the camp, Tahir would be introduced to other students of diverse backgrounds enabling him to learn not only about other campers from different areas, but their respective skills on the court. I believe this camp will help Tahir see not only newer aspects about basketball, but newer aspects of himself as well. The ability to travel and learn anything is not always granted to deserving students, but through Wishbone this program could help one of those deserving students take a step on the path forward in their life journey.
