Alejandra's Story

My passion is forensic science.

I found my passion for forensic science when I learned that I like problem solving, especially with experiments and hands on activities. I feel that studying forensic science will allow me to help a community with a crime, and give back as part of my career. I live in Hartford and there is crime on a daily basis and I see how it effects those who never receive answers about what happened. This program will help jump start my career, and I will have the skills to problem solve, give back, and fight crime.

By going to Blueprint Summer at UConn it will help me see how it feels to work as a forensic scientist, and I will get to learn from professionals working in this field. I will get the experience of going to college and what it will be like to earn this degree. This will be the first time having this type of experience, and I can't thank you enough.
