Raudel's Story

My passion is basketball.

Attending US Sports Nike Basketball Camps will help me pursue my passion by giving me a new learning experience. Since I've always been interested in basketball, practicing with new coaches and teammates could definitely boost my interest for it because I would have more knowledge about the game.

Raudel is a great candidate for Nike Basketball Camps because he is a leader in his own regard and will greatly contribute to the community. He knows how to step up when needed, but also how to step back and give his peers space to take on leadership roles. He is a compassionate young man who will bring a tremendous amount of diversity to whatever space he enters. Most importantly, this opportunity will give him a chance to truly explore a passion.

My Experience

This was a first for me in many ways. It was my first time being a way from home. It was my first time attending a camp. It was also the first time I had to wake up at 5:45 am everyday. I really enjoyed attending this camp because they really pushed to work harder and it made me realize that I have the potential to go even further than I believe. I took a lot from this camp and I hope to one day attend again.

Preparing For The Next Step

I am very excited that I'll soon be attending the US Sports Nike Basketball Camps program. I'd like to thank everyone who donated, not just to me, but to my peers at College Track as well. Because of you we have these great opportunities to do the things we are passionate about. I recently tried out for the basketball team at school and I was among the few who made it. I will start practicing more to improve my game and when summer comes I'll soak up everything I learn at the camp to become better. I can't wait for summer, it's going to be great!
