Jonathan's Story

My passion is Engineering.

I discovered this passion when in my 10th grade. My class had the opportunity of changing our elective class from theatre to Engineering. Half of the class chose to switch and among half the class was me. From the first day, I realized that all my life I was always curious on how things work and of new ways of helping people. My curiosity was always there, but I had never done anything to further my thinking until that year. I realized I was starting to grow a passion for it since I would constantly look forward to this class. Our first unit was on design and i had a chance to make a scooter throughout the year, which I found to be really fun. My junior year, it was a different type of engineer which I enjoyed just as much if not more since it was more hands on, which is an experience that I truly needed to see if it was truly for me.

I know that I am looking into entering a major in the STEM field, specifically, Engineering, but have not yet found a specific type of engineering. Since Lehigh has an engineering program, it can definitely be something I look into in order to see what my major and minor can potentially be or whether I will chose to double major.
