My passion is singing.
I sing everywhere: in the shower, in the car, in the train, at school, in church; anywhere I am allowed to talk I sing. I think that Blueprint Summer at Lehighe will be beneficial because I will learn to read music, keep a tempo, and sing to a monotone among other lessons. I know it's crazy for a freshman to know what she wants to do with the rest of her life, but growing up I learned that it is never too early to know who you want to be. So not only will I be able to pursue a program that I am passionate about but I can also see the campus that I may attend a few years down the road!
Alesia is a vibrant, charismatic young lady who is passionate about music and dance. I was her middle school English teacher, and our school didn't have a music or theater program. Alesia was determined to find a way to pursue her love of music at our school, and she helped to convince me to begin a musical theater program with another teacher. She was one of the first cast members, and she encouraged other students to become part of the program. As she grew older, she began helping with choreography, directing, and coaching younger actors and singers. By her eighth grade year, she was listed as a co-director in our program because of her vital role in fostering the program. She has tenacity and dedication and pursues her dreams relentlessly.
Thank you all so much for your help with allowing me to go to this program this summer. Not only did I have sooo much fun I got closer with students of other social and racial standings. I made so many freinds most of who I have met up with after the program because of our close proximity of living. If not for your donations I wouldn't have had the the summer of my dreams and learn more in a week then I have about my writing in my whole life!
To all of my donors I want to thank you post your donations for giving me the opportunity to go to this amazing program. As of April 3rd, 2017 I have been fully funded for my program and am on my way to spending a week at the beautiful Lehigh University in July. Your donations and support will not go to waste I will make the most of every opportunity I am given and make sure that I am remembered at my program. If not the for your love, support and donations I would not be able to go to this program. So while you are congratulating me congratulate yourselves on putting another student on the path to a 4 year university and a chance to change the world !
