Quenell's Story

My passion is cooking.

Ever since I was a young girl, I would sit in the kitchen and watch my grandmother cook. I would always ask her questions like, “Grandma, why did you choose that type of seasoning” or “Grandma, why are you boiling those noodles instead of baking them.” As I got older, I started to use her recipes to cook for my sisters and they always told me that my food tasted good. Their compliments encouraged me to start creating my own recipes and that’s when I realized that there is never a dull moment in the kitchen. My passion for cooking has been slowly fostering every day since then.

Attending Sur La Table will teach me the professional principles of cooking in the kitchen. I will learn how to handle the various culinary tools required to be in the kitchen. Sur La Table Summer Cooking Series allows me to explore hands-on experiments with people who feels just as passionate about cooking as I do.

She expresses even more passion for cooking than mathematics, and she is already the perfect mathematics student at the moment. Her skills, work ethic, and accountability will absolutely transfer to a culinary classroom. She will be able to explore her passion that is almost impossible for her to experience elsewhere."

Thank You

I just want to thank my supporters for guiding me and helping me through this amazing experience. I also want to thank Wishbone for giving me this wonderful opportunity that I'll always remember. And finally, I want to thank everyone who donated to my campaign. Special thanks to you guys because without your donations, I would have not been able to attend my summer program. Attending Sur La Table Cooking Series was a very life-changing experience that I greatly enjoyed. I've made so many memories that will last forever. Thank You All !
