I discovered my passion for medicine when I was in middle school, and I was given the chance to take high school level courses for the first time. I was able to take living environment and algebra, and ended up doing pretty well in both of those classes. I discovered I was more than just interested, and enjoyed learning in science. I decided to look into learning more about living environments, and then moved on to learning about how the body works.
Attending Ithaca Summer College for three weeks will help me pursue my passion for medicine because it will give me the full experience of learning about a subject in a college setting. I will see the true amount of work, criteria, and dedication to the courses I will need to pursue the career. This would be an amazing opportunity for me that I never thought I would have.
I believe that the Ithaca Summer College program is exactly what Alejandro needs in order to achieve his goal of working in the medical field. Metaphorically speaking, he's created a puzzle that consists of pieces that represent the obstacles he has overcome throughout his academic career. It represents that despite the lack of resources he has been given, he continues to put the pieces of the puzzle together by learning everything he can, whether it be in school or on his own time. The Ithaca Summer Program, I believe, will be one of the most important pieces to his puzzle. He has an unparalleled interest for the field and an extraordinary understanding of the fact that life won't always be easy and anything worth fighting for won't come without a sacrifice.
My wishbone summer college experience was one of my best ever summer experiences. It was truly something I will never forget. Thank you for everyone who contributed to my campaign and allowed me to go there

I am currently getting ready to go to Ithaca for the summer and am so happy that am able to attend this program. It will truly mark my life and allow me achieve my future goals and dreams.
