Erika's Story

My passion is leadership.

Going to the National Teen Leadership Program will help me pursue my passion by connecting me with other people who also have similar interests and who have experience I can learn from.

I am looking to improve my skills through this program and to meet people who are like me and have similar interests. By making new friends, I can find people to share my ideas with or to learn from even further.

A Note from Mr. guzman, Erika's Coach

Erika has helped create flyers in the past for our program and has shown that she is passionate about leadership. On her own, she has shown that she is looking to expand her knowledge, but when gets stuck or has a question that is difficult to research she sometimes gets stumped. Unfortunately there is no one in our site that Erika can approach to find the answers for her questions. I believe that by attending the National Teen Leadership Program she can soak up her instructor's knowledge and help her explore possible career paths.

Going to NTLP

July 7-9 were the best days of my summer. I met new people and where they're from. I leader how to become a better leader and to be out going. I would have never learned about this program if it weren't for Wishbone.

Through July 7-9, I had the best weekend. I met new people from different ethnicities and still stay in touch with them to this day. I came out of my shell to talk about more about me and to be a become a better leader. I would do it all over again if I could and make more friends and learn where they're from. I would learn more how to be a better learn and not be a follower.
