My passion is nursing. My grandmother and grandfather both spent a lot of time in hospitals and nursing homes. As I would sit next to them, I was fascinated by everything going on around me and how there was never a dull moment. I loved this aspect of the whole career, and I immediately knew that this was what I wanted to do every day for the rest of my life.
Attending Centenary Summer Scholars will help me pursue my passion for nursing by giving me the experience necessary to grasp a better understanding of nursing school and helping me to be better prepared for my future. It will also help me by preparing me for college life by helping me learn to better manage my time, become even more independent from my parents, and expose me to some of the types of things I will see in the career I hope to have.
