My passion is nursing.
I discovered my passion for Nursing when I was really young. I always had the passion to help and take care of people, the best I can. I wanted to have a career where I felt valued, respected and where I couldn't be replaced easily. I remember when I was 12 or 13 years old, my mom had surgery. I had to take care of her for weeks and I didn't my mind. I took care of her until she was well and back on her feet. I remember being so happy taking care of my mom, I finally figured out what I wanted to do. I have always been passionate about nursing and admired nurses. The career is rewarding. Stepping into someone’s life at the low moments and making a difference to their experience is an incredible privilege .
Talisa made the decision to apply to our magnet school's lottery because she wanted more out of her education. As a student, I found Talisa to be extremely hard-working and focused. She is clearly at school to learn and does not allow herself to get distracted from her mission.
I had a great time and the program I went to. It gave me a new look at things on who I am and what I wanted to be. I made new friends and was surrounded by very inspiring people. This was great for me and I would do it again.
I am going to be participating in the Envision NYLF Medicine this summer. I am really excited to be joining the program because it will give me the time to get a feel of what the medical field is like.
I am looking forward to working with other people my age and sharing ideas and advice with one another. I chose this program because I have always been passionate about nursing ever since I was young. I believe that participating in this program will help me decide whether or not I want to major in the medical field when I grow up. I am really excited to be joining the program because it will give me the time to think about what I want to do in the medical field. I think that this program will help me develop my ideas.
