My passion is Mysteries.
Growing up, whenever I was watching TV with my aunt she would always chose a horror movie or the ID channel. At first I was terrified, I hated watching those stories. After a while I started to lose my fear and pay attention to the story being told. I learned how to enjoy putting the pieces together of who killed who and and how the detectives and scientist arrived at their conclusions. It became a way for me and my aunt to pretend and be detectives and know how to be problem solvers.
By attending the forensic science program at Lehigh, I will be able to expand my interest in criminal investigation. In this program I will get more inside knowledge as to what scientist and the investigators do regularly to solve a murder or any other type of case. The program provides the basics of the forensic science profession and tips on how to be successful. I would learn how scientist use chemicals and specific tools to solve different cases.
Karina is an incredibly dedicated student who needs exposure to opportunities both inside and outside of New York City. She works incredibly hard at UCHS and sets very high goals for herself. That said, the Blueprint Summer at Lehigh will expose Karina to opportunities far beyond the walls of our classrooms. The experts who teach the forensic science program at Lehigh will expose Karina to all of the latest research and career opportunities in the field and inspire her to continue working hard in high school.
I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend a summer program at Lehigh University! I am very grateful for your generosity and support. I was able to meet and interact with many people of different backgrounds and got to experience life away from home. It was a great experience that I hope many other will get to to do. And again thank you for all of your support throughout this journey.
