My passion is business and entrepreneurship.
When I was a kid, I always heard the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I said that I wanted to be an architect, chef, scientist, hairdresser--even a sorbet seller. But I know my actual passion is in starting and running a business. I am interested in business because I want to help my community, and working in this field would give me the skills to reach more people. Recently, I have gotten into entrepreneurship because I want to have a business where I am able to aid people in overcoming their personal issues, but there are not many business models that focus on that specific interest.
The National Youth Leadership Forum on Business Innovation offers team-building activities and guest speakers from the university willing to share their experiences. This combination of peer support and professional advice would help me learn how to become a better businesswoman. As a result of attending this program, I will understand how to create my own business project and have the opportunity to meet new people who have different ways of thinking.

Thank you for everyone that helped me and donated money! At my business program, we worked with a computer software that we would be selling. First off, we created the software. The one that me and my group created was Pear Software. After that, we had to make a presentation explaining the different aspects of the software, which we later presented in front of investors. It was really fun because we had the chance to earn our own money and create the business. I learned so much about business and am so grateful for this experience.
Throughout the whole year, I have been anticipating the moment that I'll finally be able to attend this business program. The moment is almost here. I just ended my sophomore year successfully with all A's and B's. I had to balance sports, clubs, and classes, which made me stressed, but I knew that I have to work hard to get to a good college. My motivation for this was to make sure I did whatever possible to make my parents proud.
I know that NYLF will put me to work, but I know I will be able to enjoy myself. This program will most definitely help me by building up my leadership skills and skills for the future. Finally, attending this program will help me with the future career I want to have.
