My passion is screenwriting.
I love the arts. There are literally no words to describe my passion for this. I simply enjoy whatever art I come across with, whether that be through drawing, writing, photography, etc. And walking by murals? It only left me staring up at them with amazement, questioning if I could ever be as good in the future.
My passion didn't start blooming until the 7th grade though. I remember actually giving my art skills a try, and I remember the astonishment on my mom's face. I remember feeling proud and excited for producing my art like that. The fun part about art is you can go crazy with it, you could do anything. That is my happiness. My bliss.
Ana reads at least a book a week. Each week, she walks in the classroom with a new stack of novels, ready to give me the elevator speech about each. When she was readying the new Harry Potter addition, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, she would think of alternative endings and story twists. It was more entertaining to hear her interpretations and edits than to read the book myself. Ana is a great candidate for the US Performing Arts Screenwriting summer opportunity with her expansive literary tastes and her creative confidence.
Hello all,
First of all I want to apologize for updating very late, but I want to thank everyone who donated to my campaign. Because of you I got to go to Stanford! It was a long journey, but it was so worth it. I got to meet kids from different states, and I was able to share my ideas with the students around me. Rick Hawkins, the professor for our screenwriting workshop, was amazing and he gave me feedback to improve my stories and boost my self confidence. I'm so so lucky I get to say I went to Stanford in San Jose, CA. It was such an amazing experience and something that'll be memorable till the last of my days. I unfortunately didn't get any pictures but I can tell you this: I met one of the most amazing girls I could ever ask for and I'm so fortunate she was my roommate, and even though she's about to graduate highschool and I'm about to go into my sophomore year, I'm forever grateful to her for being there and showing me that I'm not alone. I also took a lot from the program and we got to watch the most touching movies I think I've ever seen this year. So thank you again for making this dream come true. I want you to know that while I was there I didn't for a minute stop thinking about the people who brought me here. And lastly, thank you wishbone, for making this a possibility too.
Yours truly,
Ana
I'm going to be participating in Us Performing Arts Screenwriting this summer, and I can't begin to tell you how excited I am. I'm super ecstatic to be attending this program because I've recently been getting into Screenwriting, and that sort of thing. I've been writing since the late 5th grade creatively, and not just for assessments, or due essays, and I really enjoy it. Due to finding this program, and seeing my first broadway play I'm actually thinking of becoming writer for movies, or being involved in that area, and I don't think there are many chances for me in school to do that. So, being able to go to this program is a dream come true, and I hope to get lots of insight from the instructor. I know this program will direct me in the right direction.
I'm looking forward to meeting others with the same interest as me, and I hope we'll be able to exchange ideas, and learn from each other. I aim to strive and improve, and I know this program will further improve my ideas. I know I'll have a blast in attending this program, and still learn what I need to know. I can't wait to put my stories into Screenwriting format. This opportunity will not be taken for granted.
